What if meat was not stocked on grocery shelves any long?
what if for some unforeseeable reason meat was no longer for sale in stores or served in restaurants and no one would sell you any? Would you be a vegetarian? how would you get meat? If you raised it yourself do you know what that takes? Could you kill it? How would you feed a cow and deal with the massive amounts of manure it creates if no one would haul it away? What would your plan be in detail? Best answer 10 points
Well, first of all, you have to realize that if the meat industry completely collapsed there would be a huge economy crisis that would make the current housing/banking deal look like a piece of cake. Farmers and meat processors everywhere would lose their jobs, and what do you think would become of the livestock that didn't get sent to market?
But let's just play along with your fantasy scenario for a moment. My family and I would no doubt take to hunting wild game. We currently supplement our diet with deer and sometimes wild hog that we either kill or get from others who hunt and have more than enough. We could also fish in our own pond or in nearby lakes and streams. It would certainly be more trouble than going to the store for meat, but we could do it if necessity demanded it. We also have enough acreage to support a few cows or goats, as well as chickens.
It would take some getting used to and a bit of training and practice, but I have no doubt that we could learn to slaughter our own livestock or take it to small family-owned meat processing plants. Several of these already exist nearby, and I'm sure others would spring up to meet the new demand.
Manure is great fertilizer. In the smaller quantities my small herd would produce, it would be quite maneagable either to help make the hay fields richer for the cows, or to gather to use as firewood and/or to fertilize my garden.
We would likely eat less meat than we currently do, but I don't see our family going strictly vegetarian.

How has the DNC helped Denver economically?
I have an assignment due and i was wondering what i could write about
I know that sales have increased in the following:

hotels
restaurants
prostitution

etc. etc.
but how can i further elaborate these topics?
what is the economic point of view in these topics?

It brings attention to Denver as a nice place to visit in the future, so people remember. Long after the Convention leaves, the memory of Denver lingers and it seems safe and interesting for visitors. So I would say future considerations are important also.

Thanks for writing Dana. Yes, it's common for your scenario to happen. Often times a restaurant's Point of Sale system is complicated and especially if your server is “relatively new, he or she might make mistakes in ringing in food (adding things, accidentally leaving them off, etc). Now, when you told the food runner you didn't order it and some things were missing, that person should have apologized for the mistake, removed the item, and immediately informed your waiter of the problem. Your server should have then immediately gone to your table to confirm that there had been an issue. The server should have then immediately gone to the kitchen, asked for your wanted items “on the fly” and told the manager to fix the problems that were rung up on the ticket. You should have gotten your wanted food in less than 10 minutes later.
It is certainly okay for you to cancel your order if they hadn't started making it. In fact, whenever this happens to me, I usually will change my order to something I know will be made quicker, such as an entree salad or pasta. I'll say to the server “you know what, can I get a 'Southwest Salad” instead?” or something to that effect. Personally, I wouldn't have left 20%, but that's just me. A 20% tip to me says that the server was close to being flawless in his or her service. I would have left 15%.
Will a company get same coverage as 4SQ if they match and exceed all the same things 4sq does and then provide identifiable and measurable result for the merchant at the Point of Sale (POS) to sign onto program? What if they could ID their top promoter and reward them- do you think there is value?
Badges are great, but if the merchant were able to identify their Mayor's and reward their efforts in real time for promotion via their sales and Point of Sale system- would this be better MG?
I like the game play but tech has the ability to step it up a notch to those that actually promote and create sales- thoughts MG?
