Drawer Dell Cpu
Case swapped over, now I'm having a few issues.?
Working on a case swap for my dads second computer swapping from a slimline dell chassis to an ATX dell chassis. Moved everything over, plugged everything up from one case to the other, put in the new grapics and modem cards. Changed out the power supply from 200 to 400 W, went to boot up and...nothing. The fans on the cpu cooler and the power pack spin but the hard drive and cd drives won't respond. When I disconnect the IDE cables at the mobo, the hard drive will spin up and i can open and close the drawers on the cd drives. Any ideas what I fried?
Make sure you have all of the stand offs secured from the motherboard to the chassis case...that is usually the problem.
Secure all connections.

The drawer on my cpu won't close?
The drawer for the cd drive on my cpu won't close when I try using the eject button or a gentle push on it. How can I get it to close and stay closed? I am running XP on my Dell Desktop.

reseat the cables going to it and maybe uninstall it in device manager then reboot .. if its persistant and is still messed up it may be time for replacement ..
