White Symbol Usb Can someone help me with my Ipod Touch 3g?
Ok, so I've had my Ipod touch since christmas and everything was ok. Today when I plugged it into my computer it updated all nice like it should. But, today after everything updated, it say there was a new Update for my Ipod. So like usual I installed it, but I got an error. My Ipods screen went to the screen where It has the Itunes symbol at the top and a white arrow saying to connect it to the USB. I looked up what happened and it said to get ready to restore it. I held in the power button and the home button for the 10seconds like I was supposed to, and the screen turned black. My Ipod now will not turn on. Can somebody please help me? Greatly appreciated.

The Mighty Mouse is made of white plastic and has a recessed Apple logo on the mouse's face. The mouse has four functional "buttons": a left capacitive sensor, a right capacitive sensor, a track ball with a pressure sensor and side squeeze sensors. The track ball enables users to scroll a page or document in every direction by rolling the ball in the desired direction. Two of the above-mentioned inputs are not physical buttons. Rather, the touch-sensitive topshell (mentioned below) and the pressure sensing trackball allow the mouse to detect which side is being touched or whether the trackball is being held in.
Currently Mac OS X is the only operating system that fully supports the mouse. When used with Mac OS X the sensors can be set to launch applications or trigger features of the Apple operating system, such as Dashboard and Expos. If not used with Mac OS X, the mouse behaves as a four "button" mouse with a vertical and horizontal scroll wheel. There are third-party drivers (XMouse, AppleM) that provide more functions to users of other platforms such as Windows.
The Mighty Mouse does not report whether the right and left sensor is activated simultaneously. In fact, it reports a right-click only when there is no finger contact on the left side of the mouse. This means that the Mighty Mouse cannot support mouse chording, used by CAD software, games, and other applications where multiple functions are mapped to the mouse.
Versions and sell dates
The wireless Mighty Mouse
On August 2, 2005, Apple introduced Mighty Mouse, at the suggested retail price of US$49.
On 12 October 2005, Apple began shipping a Mighty Mouse with every iMac, and on 19 October 2005, with the PowerMac G5 line as well. The user has a choice to upgrade to an Apple Wireless Keyboard and Apple Wireless Mouse.
On 25 July 2006, Apple released a wireless Mighty Mouse which uses Bluetooth 2.0. The new version uses two AA batteries, but can run on a single AA battery to reduce weight. Wireless Mighty Mouse was priced at $69.
On August 7, 2007, Apple slightly updated the Mighty Mouse, changing the color of the squeeze areas to white. As of September 2009, the wired version of the Mighty Mouse costs $49, while the wireless version costs $69.
On October 20, 2009, Apple was forced to rename the Mighty Mouse the Apple Mouse due to legal issues regarding the name.
On the same day, Apple announced and released a completely new mouse called the Apple Magic Mouse, built with an aluminum base with a multitouch panel. Like the trackpads on the Macbooks, this new version also introduced gestures. This version uses two AA batteries and will be priced at $69.
The model number of the old version of the Mighty Mouse is MA272LL/A, and the new Mighty Mouse's model number is MB111LL/A.

Criticism
Although the Mighty Mouse can sense both right and left clicks it is not possible to press both sensors simultaneously. The user must learn to lift the left finger off the sensor surface before attempting a right-mouse click.
The scroll ball will eventually become clogged with dirt and require cleaning. While there are methods to clean the ball without dismantling the mouse some users have complained that the Mighty Mouse is difficult to clean because the scroll ball mechanism is hard to take apart.
Name
Prior to launching the device, Apple received a license to the name "Mighty Mouse" from Viacom, and subsequently CBS Operations, as owner of the Mighty Mouse cartoon series, the title having been registered in the U.S. as a trademark with respect to various merchandise (such as T-shirts and multivitamins) associated with the character. However, the trademark did not cover computer peripherals, and CBS would not apply to trademark the term in the U.S. with respect to computer mice until mid-2007.
On May 21, 2008 it was announced that Man & Machine Inc., a supplier of keyboards and mice to laboratories and hospitals, had sued Apple Inc. for trademark infringement over its use of the name Mighty Mouse. Man & Machine Inc. had four registered or pending trademarks on various computer pointing related technologies, including "Cool Mouse", "Really Cool", and "Man and Machine and Design". The particular Mighty Mouse trademark in dispute was first filed by Man & Machine Inc., on December 18, 2007 with the description "Computer cursor control devices, namely, computer mice" after CBS's filing, but claiming first use in 2004, before the introduction of the Apple device.
Following opposition proceedings on both sides against the other, CBS subsequently withdrew its application, allowing Man & Machine to register the U.S. trademark for computer mice. As a result, Apple stopped selling mice under the "Mighty Mouse" name on October 20, 2009, when it introduced the wireless Magic Mouse and renamed the existing wired mouse the "Apple Mouse".
Incidentally, CBS was successful in registering "Mighty Mouse" as a trademark for computer mice in some other countries, including Canada, although Apple nevertheless chose to change its product name internationally.

• Business Card Paper:

• Perforated Paper:
This specialty paper somehow imitates an embroidery canvass – that which is used in cross-stitching. It is a lightweight card with evenly spaced holes. Different shades of perforated paper are available in the market today.
• Hole-Punched Paper:
Think of a simple white copy paper with holes punched on the sides, on top or at the bottom of the paper. It can be used for sketching or as leaves of a notebook.
• Carbonless Paper:
It is also called Non-Carbon Copy Paper or NCR (No Carbon Required) Paper. This is a substitute to the carbon paper, which is used to produce a copy of the original, handwritten record without having to use any electronics.
• Synthetic Paper:
For technicality, synthetic papers is described as "a product manufactured using synthetic resin derived from petroleum as its primary material, which while maintaining the characteristics of the material, offers several qualities similar to that of paper made primarily from wood pulp, most typically its white and opaque appearance as well as its printing and processing capabilities." It is said that recently the demand for this kind of specialty paper has been increasing due to its tear resistance feature and recyclability, compared to the traditional papers available.

One Pos Computer Help with two business computers. Setting one as a POS and all the records dump on to the locked up office one?
We have a Compaq Presario and a Dell Optiplex both running Windows XP at our Spa. We want to have the Dell Optiplex run POS/inventory/etc software. Just kind of all in one software for inventory, etc. Then we want all the records to dump on to the Compaq Presario in the office so they can be viewed by only me. I don't want them to have internet but i want them connected to a network so that the records can be transfered to the Compaq. I need to know how to setup the network so the records can be dumped onto the Compaq presario but the Dell can't access the permanent ones on the Compaq. The Dell can have records but not have access to permanent ones. I also need to know how to get the Dell to have a connection to the network but not accutally be able to go onto the internet. My staff hasn't been getting work done so i don't want them to be able to go on the net but i want the records to be transfered as they are processed
You need a LAN - (Local Area Network) created on your Presario, with cable running to the other computer.
If your not prepared to get the local IP network guys in, why not buy a pack of re-writable CD's - write the files the staff work on to the re-writable CD and as they are re-writable they can save any changes to the Re- Writable CD's as they work on the files.
You can then take the CD's and update the data base on the Presario.
You could also transfer the files on a USB Flash Drive.

What Does POS Stand For?
If you are a merchant, you have probably come across the term POS before. What is POS, and how does it help your business?
POS stands for "Point of Sale." This is the system that your business uses to take money from your customer and provide them with a receipt. Almost all POS systems are computerized for accuracy and convenience.
Essential Parts of a POS System
If you are in the market for a new POS system, you need to know what the basic parts are. Keep in mind that you can buy your POS system as a bundle, with software included, or you can put together your own system by buying the parts separately.
POS Computer - The computer is the most important part of the system. Some POS computers are like PCs that run POS software that you load onto them. Others come with a software program and do not operate like a regular computer.
Cash Drawer - The cash drawer is where you will keep any money, checks, or credit card receipts that you receive. It is connected to the POS computer and will only open when the computer sends it the proper signal. This helps protect you from theft.
POS Monitor - The monitor allows you to see what you are inputting into the POS computer. Many POS monitors are touch-screen enabled, which allows them to be the input device, eliminating the need for a keyboard.
Scanner - The scanner allows you to scan the barcode on the merchandise you are selling. Some scanners are hand held, while others are imbedded into the POS device. The scanner is technically an optional item, since UPC codes can be entered by hand, but using a POS system efficiently without one is almost impossible.
Receipt Printer - The receipt printer is connected to the POS system to allow you to quickly print off a receipt for your customer. In many systems the receipt printer also prints the receipt that the customer signs when paying via credit card.
Optional POS Components
There are other components of a POS system that you may or may not need. If you do need them, they may not seem optional to you, but these are the items that some merchants can do without and still run an efficient store.
Credit Card Terminal/Signature Capture Device - If you intend to take credit cards, you will need a way to read them. Your POS system may have a built in credit card reading option, but if it does not you will need a credit card terminal. You will also need a pin pad to allow your customer to input PIN numbers and sometimes an electronic signature.
Keyboard and Mouse - If you do not have a touch screen on your system, you will need a keyboard and possibly a mouse to input information into your system. These can be specific for your type of store or a traditional PC keyboard.
Customer Pole Display - Customers like to see that their order is being rung up correctly. If they are not going to be able to see the monitor in your setup, consider investing in a customer pole display that shows them a summary of what is being imputed into the system. You may not need this if your pin pad shows a summary of what is being done with the order.
These are the basic components of a POS system, not including the software. As you build your new store, consider which of these parts will be the most helpful. Build a POS system that will be convenient, easy to understand, and efficient. This will ensure that you can complete as many transactions as possible each day.
