painting my living room?
ok my living room/dining room is a 24x16 rectangle on front long wall I have a picture window, front door then another window lt. side wall has a side door back wall has hall entrance and basement door other end wall has nothing.I am thinking of painting my long wall a deep purplish gray and my short wall either a light khaki or maybe a light silver. my carpet is a light beige as well as my furniture that i plan on putting slip covers on. Oh also the way my house sits I get a lot of natural light in my living room. Please any opinions would be great whether pos. or neg. I am going crazy no one wants to help and everyone says just paint it what you like. So please before I just leave them white!
I have done the testing thing and the colors do look good together! Really need opinions on whether to paint long walls dark or light or vise verso with the short walls
To minimize the length of the room paint the short walls the deep purple color and the light khaki on the long walls.
vice versa
Painting the short walls a light color and the long walls a deep color will accentuate the length.

What exactly qualifies as a high-volume restaurant?
I'm looking for a serving job, and a lot of the applications ask if you have high-volume restaurant experience. I'm not sure what this means, exactly--I feel like most restaurants, as long as they're not incredibly small or not doing too well, are pretty high-volume. (I worked in a retirement community dining room which, while obviously not a "real" restaurant, pretty much functioned like one, including alcohol, POS, and all that stuff.)
There is no strict definition. Probably more than 150 dinners a night. Basically it means that the restaurant refills every evening. You are turning over the tables as soon as the early diners leave.
You qualify since the retirement dining room was hit by a "crush" of diners all at the same time. So you had to move quickly to accomplish all your duties.
